On transfer deadline day of the August window, AFC Bournemouth have signed two players.

The first is no stranger to Dean Court as Andrew Surman has extended his loan period until December 31st. Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, manager Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying: "Drew is a good player who can get even better over the coming months. We are very pleased to have him and our thanks go to Harry Redknapp and Southampton for agreeing the loan".

On this deal Chairman Peter Phillips, commenting on the role of Player Share, is quoted as saying: "Abdul [Jaffer] has been marvellous. He has launched a one-man fundraising campaign for Playershare over the last few days. On behalf of everyone at the club I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has contributed".

In a second transfer deadline day move, AFC Bournemouth have secured the services of Steven Foley from Aston Villa, also on loan, until December 31st. He featured in Neil Young's Testimonial, and scored one of the Bournemouth goals in the 5-2 defeat.
