First up, AFC Bournemouth have been linked with Swedish based striker Tokelo Rantie, who is currently playing with Malmo, with it being reported that the Cherries are one of three clubs chasing his signature. The others being Middlesbrough and St Etienne. Furthermore, it has been reported that the Cherries tabled a bid in excess of €1m!!
Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Chairman Eddie Mitchell was quoted as saying: "I know we are still looking to add to our strike-force. It is about finding the right person, somebody who can add something else".
On the availability of funding, Mitchell went on to say: "We wouldn’t be looking if there weren’t. We are not on a time-wasting mission. We are seriously looking and that would indicate there are funds available".
