Brentford left it very late to salavge a point against Exeter City at Griffin Park. Fleetwood had given the Grecians a 38th minute lead only to see Clarke level in the 90th minute. Brentford 1st, Exeter City 4th.

Wycombe Wanderers closed the gap at the top to 2 points as they won by a single goal over Gillingham at Adams Park. Akinde scored the only goal of the game in the 41st minute. Wycombe Wanderers 2nd, Gillingham 6th.

Shrewsbury Town seem determined not to make the play-offs as their dreadful away record continued to haunt them. Their Good Friday trip to Gigg Lane to face Bury saw the home side salvage a vital 3-points in their quest for automatic promotion. Jevons gave the home side a half time lead from the penalty spot, awarded in first half stoppage time. Chadwick levelled 10 minutes after the restart with Hurst scoring the winner 10 minutes from time. Bury 3rd, Shrewsbury Town 8th.

Rochdale managed to squeak past Port Vale at Spotland as Buckley scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute. Rochdale 5th, Port Vale 19th.

Chesterfield managed to edge their way in to a play-off place despite a 0-0 draw with Darlington at Saltergate. Chesterfield 7th, Darlington 13th.

Could it be too little too late for Morecambe to make the play-offs, even though they claimed an 8th home win of the season against Bradford City at Christie Park. Clarke had given the Yorkshire side a 37th minute lead, but the home side bounced back with goals from Drummond in the 56th minute and Howe in the 75th minute to leave the Shrimpers 6 points off a play-off place with 5 matches left to play. Morecambe 12th, Bradford City 9th.

Dagenham & Redbridge comfortably saw off Aldershot Town at Victoria Road, running out 3-1 winners to claim their 10th home win of the campaign. Even though Hylton had given the Shots a 7th minute lead, the Daggers hit back through Benson in the 40th minute, a Saunders penalty in the 64th minute and Ritchie in the 67th minutes to claim the win. Dagenham & Redbridge 10th, Aldershot Town 15th.

If it wasn't for their 17 point deduction at the start of the season, Rotherham United would be in the automatic promotion places by now and looking at League One next season. As it is, they are in mid-table and looking at League Two next season. Their 10th home win of the season at the Don Valley Stadium came against Notts County. Hudson (44th min) and Reid (69th min) gave the Millers a 2-goal lead before Forte pulled one back in the 75th minute. Rotherham United 14th, Notts County 18th.

Accrington Stanley are definitely safe for another season as Symes scored the only goal of the game against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park, leaving the home side just a point above the drop zone. Grimsby Town 22nd, Accrington Stanley 16th.

Barnet are also safe for another season as well as they managed to squeak past AFC Bournemouth at Underhill. The veteran Furlong netted the only goal of the game in the 51st minute. Barnet 17th, AFC Bournemouth 21st.

At the Deva Stadium there was a relegation 6-pointer being played out between Chester City and Macclesfield .... with the visitors managing to claim their 6th away win of the season, to leave City with their 10th home defeat of the season. Rooney in the 8th minute, and Evans in the 29th minute made sure that Chester City remain firmly in the drop zone for Conference football next season. Chester City 23rd, Macclesfield 20th.

Luton Town managed to claim a 0-0 draw against Lincoln City at Sincil Bank, but it's a result that leaves them 11 points off safety with just 5 matches left. Sadly, the Hatters could be relegated on Easter Monday if they fail to beat Chesterfield and Grimsby Town pick up points against Notts County. Lincoln City 11th, Luton Town 24th.
