Morecambe managed to see off Crewe Alexandra in a 7-goal thriller at Christie Park even though Grant and Miller had given the visitors a 2-goal first half advantage with strikes in the 17th and 30th minutes. Jevons pulled one back for the home side in the 53rd minute with Donaldson restoring the 2-goal advantage just after the hour mark. Shrewsbury Town seem to be slipping backwards at just the wrong time and look likely to miss out on the play-offs, while Torquay United boosted their chances of League Two survival.
