Fleetwood gave City a 16th minute lead, with Strevens levelling in the 36th minute. Fleetwood completed a brace of goals with what proved to be the winner just after the restart. Bury had to come from behind against Port Vale at Vale Park to rescue a point, their 9th draw on the road this season. Lawrie gave Vale a 57th minute lead, with Bennett levelling in the 68th minute. Port Vale 18th, Bury 3rd.
AFC Bournemouth enhanced their survival credentials with a thumping 4-0 win over promotion chasing Rochdale at Dean Court. Pitman netted his first professional hat trick with goals in the 12th, 67th and 94 minutes, with Feeney adding one of his own in the 25th minute. AFC Bournemouth 21st, Rochdale 5th.
Gillingham lost ground, but remain in the play-off places following a surprise 2-0 home defeat against Barnet at Preistfield. Furlong in the 23rd minute and an O'Flynn penalty in the 54th minute, was enough for the north London side to claim a valuable 3-points. Gillingham 6th, Barnet 19th.
Shrewsbury Town seem determined NOT to make the play-off places at the moment having dropped points at the New Meadow for just the 7th time this season as Grimsby Town claimed a valuable point on the road. On loan Conlon gave Grimsby a 55th minute lead, but the advantage only lasted 3 minutes as Davies levelled in the 58th minute. Shrewsbury Town 7th, Grimsby Town 22nd.
Chesterfield will look at a 1-1 draw against Macclesfield at Moss Rose as 2-points dropped in their quest to make the play-offs. Gritton gave the Spirites an 8th minute lead, but saw Evans level in the 15th minute. The Silkmen are sinking closer to the drop zone as each match goes by. Macclesfield 20th, Chesterfield 9th.
It's probably just as well that Accrington Stanley have just about done enough to avoid the drop back to the Conference, as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat against Lincoln City at Livingstone Road. A brace of goals from kerr in the 4th and 50th minutes was enough for the Imps to take the points back to Lincolnshire. Accrington Stanley 17th, Lincoln City 11th.
If it wasn't for their 17-point deduction, Rotherham United would be sitting pretty in the automatic promotion places following their 1-0 win against Aldershot Town at The Recreation ground. Reid netted the only goal of the game in the 11th minute. Aldershot Town 15th, Rotherham United 14th.
Chester City boosted their chances of remaining in the Football League with a surprise 2-1 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane, but remain in the drop zone. Mannix gave City a 14th minute lead with Mowe adding to the scoreline in the 49th minute. Edwards scored a consolation in the 88th minute. Notts County 16th, Chester City 23rd.
The remaining game played in League Two saw Darlington (12th) play out a 0-0 draw with Morecambe (13th) at the Darlington Arena.
Wycombe Wanderers (4th) didn't have a game over the weekend as their scheduled opponents, Luton Town (24th) had a victorious trip to Wembley to face League One Scunthorpe United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final. The League Two outfit fell behind in the 14th minute when Hooper gave the Iron the lead. Martin hit back for the Hatters in the 32nd minute, with Craddock putting the League Two strugglers ahead in the 70th minute. McCann scored a superb goal in the 88th minute to force extra time. Gnakpa scored the winner in the 95th minute in front of 55,378 fans, some 40,000 from Luton.
