Aldershot Town seem to be consistent in their recent inconsistency at the moment. Playing a game in hand against Hereford United at Edgar Street saw the Hampshire side falter in their ambitions to make the play-offs, going down 2-0 to their hosts. McCallum opened the scoring in the 27th minute, with Blackburn putting past his own keeper 8 minutes later. Hereford United 16th, Aldershot Town 8th.

Also chasing a play-off place are Morecambe who edged out Burton Albion in a 5-goal thriller at Livingstone Road. Maghome had given the Brewers a 23rd minute lead, only to see Drummond level 5 minutes later for the home side. Harrad restored the visitors advantage 4 minutes before the break. The Shrimpers hit back to claim all 3-points with goals from Jevons in the 72nd minute and Mullin in the 85th minute. Morecambe 9th, Burton Albion 12th.

Lincoln City dented Accrington Stanley's play-off ambitions with a timely win of their own at Sincil Bank - their first in 6 attempts. Grant had given Stanley a 30th minute lead, but two late goals from Lennon (83rd min) and a Kempton own goal in the 91st minute gave the Imps a vital win which lifts them 11-points above the drop zone. Lincoln City 19th, Accrington Stanley 13th.

The sides in the chasing pack for a play-off place could be 5-points adrift of the all important 7th spot if cash strapped Notts County (7th) can beat lowly Grimsby Town (23rd) on Wednesday evening.
