Rochdale seem unstopable at the moment as they chalked up their 19th win of the season with a 3-1 success over Dagenham & Redbridge at Spotland, opening up a 5-point gap at the top in the process. Obadeyi gave Dale a 9th minute lead, only to see that disappear a minute later as Scott equalised. Dale left it late to clinch the points as Jones netted in the 83rd minute and O'Grady putting the result beyond doubt in the 93rd minute. Rochdale 1st, Dagenham & Redbridge 13th.

Bury now lead the chase for Rochdale following a slender 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town at Gigg Lane. A Lowe penalty in the 71st minute sealed the points for the home side. Bury 2nd, Shrewsbury Town 6th.

AFC Bournemouth slipped to just their 3rd home draw of the season against Macclesfield at Dean Court. Brown gave the Silkmen a 62nd minute lead, with Connell equalising for the Cherries with 5 minutes to go. AFC Bournemouth 3rd, Macclesfield 20th.

Chesterfield are closing the gap on an automatic promotion place following a 3-2 win over Conference-bound Darlington at The Arena. It was looking good for the home side as Purcell gave them a 2-goal lead with strikes in the 27th and 53rd minutes. But it all went wrong as the Spirites hit back through Whaley (80th min), Talbot (81st min) and a Byrne own goal in the 87th min. Darlington 24th, Chesterfield 4th.

Rotherham United seem to be slipping away from the automatic promotion places as they could only draw 1-1 against Torquay United at The Don Valley Stadium on Friday evening. Harrison had given the Millers the lead in the 20th minute, only to see Benyon level in the 85th minute. Rotherham United 5th, Torquay United 22nd.

Notts County left it late to claim a point against Aldershot Town at The Recreation Ground after Bozanic gave the Shots the lead on the stroke of half time. Davies salvaged a point for the cash-strapped side from the East Midlands with a goal in the 91st minute. Aldershot Town 10th, Notts County 7th.

Accrington Stanley boosted their chances of a play-off place with a 2-0 win over Bradford City at Livingtsone Road, A Miles brace in the 54th and 86th minutes put the home side within touching distance of the play-offs. Accrington Stanley 8th, Bradford City 18th.

There was a 7-goal thriller at Edgar Street as Hereford United took on Burton Albion. Harrad gave the Brewers the lead in the 9th minute, with Pugh levelling for the Bulls in the 28th minute. Two quick United goals from Lunt and McQuiokin in the 55th and 59th minutes gave the home side a 3-1 lead. Taylor pulled one back immediately, with Webster levelling in the 66th minute. A dramatic winner for the Brewers was scored by James in the 96th minute. Hereford United 17th, Burton Albion 9th.

Morecambe slipped to their 6th away defeat of the season as lowly Cheltenham Town bagged the points at Whaddon Road. Alsop gave the home side the lead in the 33rd minute, with Thornhill doubling the advantage in the 59th minute. Cheltenham Town 21st, Morecambe 11th.

Northampton Town seemed to be closing in on a play-off place, but slipped to their 7th away defeat of the season following a 3-2 reverse against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road. Westwood gave the Alex the lead in the 16th minute, with Gilligan levelling on the stroke of half time. Akinfenwa gave the Cobblers the lead in the 57th minute, only to see Westwood complete his brace with a strike in the 66th minute, leaving Walton to score what proved to be the winner in the 69th minute. Crewe Alexandra 14th, Northampton Town 12th.

Port Vale suffered a surprise home defeat against Barnet at Vale Park. An O'Flynn brace in the 8th and 84th minutes was enough for the Londoners to head back down the M6 and M1 with the points. Port Vale 15th, Barnet 16th.

With relegation to the Conference staring them in the face, Grimsby Town needed to claim local bragging rights over neighbours Lincoln City at Blundell Park. Herd gave the Imps a 4th minute lead, with Peacock scoring a brace for the home side in the 38th and 46th minutes. It ended honours even as Gilmore levelled in the 60th minute, leaving Grimsby Town (effectively) 6 points adrift of safety and with one home win to their name this season. Grimsby Town 23rd, Lincoln City 19th.
