Rochdale maintained their stangle hold of top-spot in League Two as they saw off Shrewsbury Town at the New Meadow with a Thompson goal in the 62nd minute, which dents the Shrews hopes of making the play-offs. Shrewsbury Town 8th, Rochdale 1st.
Bury picked the wrong time to go to Moss Rose to face Macclesfield as the Silkmen were clearly up for putting on a display in the memory of Keith Alexander. Wright gave the Silkmen the lead in the 30th minute with Lindfield adding to the scoreline in the 57th minute. Macclesfield 17th, Bury 3rd.
Chesterfield might have had one of the best home records at the start of play, but that credential was blown away when Port Vale turned up at Saltergate. Taylor gave Vale the lead in the 19th minute which was followed by a hat trick from Richards in the 44th, 51st and 79th minutes. Rotherham United were the only side in the top-7 (at the start of play) to win. Their victory came at the expense of Dagenham & Redbridge who are quickly going backwards. Le Fondre scored the only goal of the game in the 61st minute. Dagenham & Redbridge 11th, Rotherham United 6th.
Northampton Town edged in to the play-off places for the first time this season following a 2-0 win over hapless Darlington at Sixfields. Johnson gave the Cobblers the lead in the 20th minute, with Osman doubling the advantage in the 39th minute. Northampton Town 7th, Darlington 24th.
Bradford City had to come from behind to claim the points against Aldershot Town at Valley Parade. Straler had given the SHots the lead in the 8th minute. But Peter Taylor's side are made of sterner stuff these days as they came back to claim all 3 points with goals from Hanson in the 14th minute and Daley 8 minutes later. Bradford City 16th, Aldershot Town 10th.
Accrington Stanley boosted their slim chances of making the play-offs with a 2-1 win over Barnet at Underhill. O'Flynn had given the Bees the lead in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot, only to see Edwards level in the 59th minute and Kee snatch the winner with 6 minutes to go. Barnet 18th, Accrington Stanley 12th.
If Grimsby Town are going to avoid the drop in the the Conference they have got to start winning instead of chipping away with the odd draw. Their trip to Morecambe resulted in their 16th draw of the season. Mullin put the home side ahead in the 41st minute with Coulson levelling in the 59th minute. Morecambe 13th, Grimsby Town 23rd.

Burton Albion took on Cheltenham Town at The Pirelli stadium, which turned out to be the highest scoring match in the country by a mile. The lead was doubled when Kabba scored the home sdies 4th in the 72nd minute, but it all went mad with 6 minutes to go. Pook brought it back to 4-3 in the 84th minute, leading to Kabba making it 5-3 a minute later. Pook scored his second in the 87th minute, with Richards levelling in the 90th minute to make it 5-5! Pook completed his hat trick in the 94th minute giving the Robins an unlikely 5-6 away win! Burton Albion 14th, Cheltenham Town 22nd.
A more sedate affair at Plainmoor as Torquay United took on Crewe Alexandra. Rendell gave the Devon side the lead in the 38th minute, only for Donaldson to level with 5 minutes to go. Torquay United 21st, Crewe Alexandra 15th.
Lincoln City gave themselves a comfortable 10-point cushion above the drop zone with a 3-1 win over Hereford United at Sincil Bank on Friday evening. Somma and Saunders gave the home side a 2-goal cushion with strikes in the 11th and 20th minutes, with Pugh pulling one back 3-minutes before the break. Saunders put the result beyond doubt with his second of the match in the 70th minute. Lincoln City 20th, Hereford United 19th.
