Brentford slipped to just their 2nd home defeat of the season, with Chesterfield profiting at Griffin Park. Gritton scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute. Brentford 1st, Chesterfield 10th.

Gillingham climbed in to the automatic promotion places as they bid to bounce back to League One at the first attempt. Jackson scored the only goal of the game in the 58th minute at Meadow Lane against Notts County to claim the points. Notts County 16th, Gillingham 2nd.

AFC Bournemouth maintained their excellent recent run with a fine 4-1 win over play-off chasing Bradford City at Dean Court. Fletcher and Goulding both netted a brace of goals with strikes in the 5th, 39th, 40th and 51st minutes. The 25th minute equaliser through Clarke proved to be a mere consolation for City. AFC Bournemouth 20th, Bradford City 8th.

Darlington pulled back 3 more points from the 10-deducted for going in to Administration with a 1-0 win over Lincoln City at Sincil Bank. Carlton netted the only goal of the game in the 7th minute. Lincoln City 12th, Darlington, 13th.

Accrington Stanley helped themselves to 3-vital points at Livingstone Road against Port Vale. Proctor in the 4th minute, and Ryan in the 27th netted the goals to keep Stanley at a relatively safe distance from the drop zone. Accrington Stanley 19th, Port Vale 18th.

Luton Town must still fancy their chances of beating the drop to the Conference with a last gasp win over fellow relegation candidates Grimsby Town at Kenilworth Road. The two sides traded goals just before the break with Bennett giving the visitors a 43rd minute lead, which prompted Bower to equalise in first half stoppage time. Hall netted an 89th minute winner to draw the Hatters to 12 points of safety with 9 matches left. Luton Town 24th, Grimsby Town 23rd.
