Two Review - Nov 21st

Here's the weekly round up of League Two action as the lead changes for the second week running.

AFC Bournemouth return to the top of League Two with a ground out performance at Moss Rose against Macclesfield. Bisley had given the Silkmen a 35th minute lead before Pitman netted a brace to secure 3-points for the Cherries in the 45th and 78th minutes. Macclesfield 19th, AFC Bournemouth 1st.

The game of the day came at Victoria Road where Dagenham & Redbridge faced Rochdale, with the visitors edging a 2-1 win. Gain had given the Daggers a 3rd minute lead before Higginbotham levelled in the 70th minute and Dawson scored the winner two minutes later. Dagenham & Redbridge 3rd, Rochdale 2nd.

Rotherham United left it late to secure 3-points against Torquay United at Plainmoor. Ellison netted in the 85th minute, with Le Fondre netting in the 94th minute. Torquay United 22nd, Rotherham United 4th.

Chesterfield fairly thumped Darlington at Saltergate, running away with a convincing 5-2 win. Page gave the Spirites a 37th minute with Allott adding to the score line on the stroke of half time. Collins pulled one back for Darlo in the 57th minute. Djilali restored the 2-goal advantage in the 67th minute. Although Hogg pulled one back in the 87th minute, Boden netted in the 89th and 91st minutes to complete the rout. Chesterfield 5th, Darlington 24th.

Shrewsbury Town left it late to claim a share of the spoils against play-off rivals Bury at the New Meadow. Nardiello gave Bury a 29th minute lead, with Coughlan levelling in the 90th minute. Shrewsbury Town 7th, Bury 9th.

Burton Albion edged a 5-goal thriller against Hereford United at The Pirelli Stadium. Harrad gave Albion a 50th lead, with Constantine levelling in the 61st minute. Harrad restored the advantage from the penalty spot in the 64th minute, only to see Constantine level again in the 76th minute. The last laugh went to Webster with a 87th minute winner. Burton Albion 10th, Hereford United 18th.

Bradford City and Accrington Stanley had to be content with a share of the spoils at Valley Parade. Edwards put past his own keeper in the 21st minute to give City the lead. Symes levelled for Stanley in the 56th minute. Bradford City 12th, Accrington Stanley 14th.

Morecambe managed to secure a single goal victory over Cheltenham Town at Christie Park. Wilson scored the only goal of the game in the 24th minute. Morecambe 15th, Cheltenham Town 21st.

Northampton Town had to come from behind to secure a point against Crewe Alexandra at Sixfields. Donaldson (14th min) and a Johnson own goal (43rd min) gave the visitors a 2-goal lead going in at the break. An Akinfenwa brace in the 51st and 62nd minutes ensured a share of the spoils. Northampton Town 16th, Crewe Alexandra (17th).

The games involving Notts County (6th)/Aldershot Town (11th), Barnet (8th)/Port Vale (13th) and Lincoln City (20th)/Grimsby Town (23rd) all finished 0-0.
