Wycombe Wanderers have now extended their unbeaten start to the season to 17 games with a 2-0 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane. Goals from Harrold and Spence in the 47th and 65th minutes gave the Chairboys another 3 points. Notts County 17th, Wycombe Wanderers 1st.

Bradford City hoisted themselves to 2nd in the table with a 3-2 win over Chesterfield at Valley Parade. Lester and Currie had given the Spirites a 2-goal lead with strikes in the 3rd and 23rd minutes before City hit back through goals from Lee (29th min), Boulding (37th min) and a penalty from Conlon in the 73rd minute. Bradford City 2nd, Chesterfield 12th.

Darlington slipped at The Arena to Chester City. Purdie gave the Quakers a 7th minute lead. Lowe levelled in the 37th minute with Kelly scoring the winner in the 53rd minute. Darlington 3rd, Chester City 19th.

Shrewsbury Town had to be patient to claim victory over Dagenham & Redbridge the New Meadow. White gave Town a 50th minute lead. Saunders levelled in the 78th minute. A share of the points looked likely until Holt converted a penalty in the 91st minute. Shrewsbury Town 4th, Dagenham & Redbridge 10th.

Gillingham and Rochdale had to make do with a share of the points at Priestfield. Jackson gave the Gills a 17th minute lead with Le Fondre levelling in the 61st minute. Gillingham 9th, Rochdale 5th.

Luton Town are looking pretty doomed at this erly stage of the season as they slipped to a solitary Elder goal in the 29th minute against Brentford at Kenilworth Road. Luton need a further 56 points from their remaining 29 matches having gained 19 from their opening 17 League matches. Luton Town 24th, Brentford 6th.

Exeter City and Rotherham United had to settle for a share of the points at St James's Park. Watson gave City a 41st minute lead, with Reid levelling from the penalty spot in the 66th minute. Exeter City 7th, Rotherham United 21st.

Aldershot Town claimed their 6th home win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Lincoln City at The Recreation Ground. Sandell gave Town a 36th minute lead, with Davies scoring the second in the 60th minute. Aldershot Town 11th, Lincoln City 13th.

Macclesfield compounded Grimsby Town's misery with a single goal victory as Brown scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute. Macclesfield 15th, Grimsby Town 22nd.

The two remaining matches remained 0-0 as Port Vale (14th)/Barnet (20th), and AFC Bournemouth (23rd)/Morcambe (18th) failed to break the dead lock in their respective games.
