This time last season, AFC Bournemouth had clawed themselves back to -11 points. This time round they have already gathered 18 points from the opening seven games. The latest scalp came in the form of Lincoln City at Dean Court, who were seen off following a 3-1 win for the Dorset side. Pitman got the Cherries off and running with an 8th minute goal. Igoe doubled the advantage with a 20th minute volley. Fagan pulled one back with a fine volley of his own in the 26th minute, only for Igoe to volley home again in the 61st minute. AFC Bournemouth 1st, Lincoln City 14th.

Dagenham & Redbridge had to hang on in the end against Chesterfield at Victoria Road to 3-points. Antwi (25th min) and Benson (48th min) gave the Daggers a 2-goal lead before McDermott pulled one back in the 86th minute to set up a nervy finish. Dagenham & Redbridge 2nd, Chesterfield 16th.

Rotherham United slipped following a 0-0 draw at The Don Valley Stadium against Morecambe. Rotherham United 3rd, Morecambe 22nd.

Barnet had to be content with a share of the spoils at Moss Rose against Macclesfield. Sappleton gave the Silkmen a 12th minute lead, only to see Morgan put past his own keeper in the 41st minute. Macclesfield 19th, Barnet 4th.

Notts County thumped Northampton Town at Meadow Lane in a 5-2 drubbing. Dyer gave the Cobblers a 10th minute lead only to see County hit back through Ritchie (23rd and 65th minutes) and a Hughes hat-trick in the 44th, 61st and 76th minutes. Holt grabbed a consolation in the 89th minute for the visitors. Notts County 5th, Northampton Town 17th.

Crewe Alexandra slipped to Shrewsbury Town at the New Meadow. Hibbert (29th min) and Labadie (69th min) gave the Shrews all three points. Shrewsbury Town 11th, Crewe Alexandra 6th.

Bury are having a nightmare season at Gigg Lane. They slipped to their 4th home defeat of the season as Cheltenham Town, through a 94th minute winner from Hayles made sure that the points were heading back south again. Bury 20th, Cheltenham Town 7th.

Aldershot Town and Port Vale had to make do with a share of the spoils at the Recreation Ground. Taylor gave Vale a 23rd minute lead, with Soares levelling for the Shots 15 minutes later. Aldershot Town 8th, Port Vale 13th.

Rochdale are one of 5 clubs level on 11 points in League Two following a 2-1 win over Torquay United at Spotland. A Dagnall brace in the 25th and 76th minutes effectively wrapped up the points before Hargreaves pulled one back for the Devon side in the 91st minute. Rochdale 9th, Torquay United 18th.

Bradford City and Burton Albion had to settle for a share of the points at Valley Parade. Evans gave City a 24th minute lead before Boertien levelled in the 74th minute. Bradford City 12th, Burton Albion 10th.

Crisis club Accrington Stanley gave their fans some cheer on Friday evening with a 2-1 win over Darlington at Livingstone Road. Proctor gave Stanley a 21st minute lead, with Gall levelling in the 59th minute. Kee netted the winner in the 84th minute. Accrington Stanley 15th, Darlington 24th.

Grimsby Town left it late against Hereford United at Blundell Park as North netted the winner in the 88th minute to secure a much needed 3-points. Grimsby Town 21st, Hereford United 23rd.
