AFC Bournemouth slipped to their second defeat of the season, going down 2-1 against Hereford United at Edgar Street. A Pugh brace (50th and 77th minutes), either side of a Fletcher equaliser on the hour mark was enough to condemn the Cherries to defeat. Hereford United 18th, AFC Bournemouth 1st.

Rochdale took advantage of others slipping up elsewhere as Dale won 2-0 against Darlington at The Arena. Buckley gave the visitors a 60th minute lead, with O'Grady wrapping up the points in the 81st minute. Darlington 24th, Rochdale 2nd.

Dagenham & Redbridge slipped to their second defeat of the season as Barnet claimed a 2-0 win over their (relative) near neighbours at Underhill. Furlong gave the Bees a 21st minute lead, with O'Flynn scoring from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time. Barnet 8th, Dagenham & Redbridge 3rd.

Northampton Town arrested their recent slump with a 3-1 win over Rotherham United at Sixfields. Gillighan gave the Cobblers a 10th minute lead, which was added to by Herbert in the 46th minute and a Sharps own goal in the 58th minute. Le Fondre pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 79th minute, but it wasn't enough to inspire a comeback. Northampton Town 17th, Rotherham United 4th.

Shrewsbury Town hoisted themselves up to 5th with a 2-1 win over Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road. Hayles had given the home side a 60th minute lead, only to see Hibbert level in the 72nd minute and Labadie score what proved to be the winner 2 minutes later. Cheltenham Town 11th, Shrewsbury Town 5th.

Lincoln City could well have a long season ahead of them, going down 3-0 to Notts County at Sincil Bank. A Rodgers hat trick in the 1st, 25th and 90th minutes sealed the win. Lincoln City 22nd, Notts County 6th.

Aldershot Town were held to a draw by Torquay United at Plainmoor. Morgan had given the Shots a 48th minute lead, only to see Sills snatch a point for the Devon side in the 84th minute. Torquay United 23rd, Aldershot Town 7th.

Bury continue to have the best away form in League Two, following their 4th success on the road this season. Their latest away win came against Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road. Elliott gave the visitors a 22nd minute lead. Worley levelled in the 39th minute only to see Lowe restore Bury's advanatage in the 41st minute. Zola levelled in the 73rd minute, but a Dawson penalty in the 86th minute ensure the points for the visitors. Crewe Alexandra 14th, Bury 10th.

A trio of late goals ensured that Port Vale and Accrington Stanley shared the points at Vale Park after Dodds gave Vale a 5th minute lead. Edwards levelled for Stanley with an 82nd minute penalty. Fraser must have thought that he had scored the winner in the 86th minute for Vale, only to see Proctor rescue a point in the 90th minute. Port Vale 15th, Accrington Stanley 12th.

Burton Albion and Macclesfield had to be content with the share of the points at The Pirelli Stadium. Sinclair gave the Silkmen a 14th minute lead, with Pearson levelling in the 37th minute. Burton Albion 13th, Macclesfield 20th.

The only other Tuesday evening game in League Two saw Morecambe (19th) and Bradford City (9th) draw 0-0 at Christie Park.

Chesterfield (16th) and Grimsby Town (21st) play each other on Wednesday evening.
