Ex Cherry favourite speaks of his old Clubs current plight.
Wade Elliott, who signed from Bashley in February 2000, and moved to Burnley in May 2005, is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying: "It's very unfortunate. I speak to a few people down there now and again. I know they've had a bit of a setback in the week but hopefully it will all be resolved and there'll be able to move forward in one way or another. I think it would be a loss and a sad day if they went out of business".Having made 212 starting appearances for the Cherries, plus a further 47 from the bench, and scoring 37 goals, Elliott has now made 109 appearances for the Turf Moor side plus 17 from the bench, scoring 9 times. He has recently signed a new 3-year contract for Burnley.
