Wade Elliott: It's Very Unfortunate

Wade Elliott, who signed from Bashley in February 2000, and moved to Burnley in May 2005, is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying: "It's very unfortunate. I speak to a few people down there now and again. I know they've had a bit of a setback in the week but hopefully it will all be resolved and there'll be able to move forward in one way or another. I think it would be a loss and a sad day if they went out of business".

Having made 212 starting appearances for the Cherries, plus a further 47 from the bench, and scoring 37 goals, Elliott has now made 109 appearances for the Turf Moor side plus 17 from the bench, scoring 9 times. He has recently signed a new 3-year contract for Burnley.
