Walsall Reaction

On an evening when Bournemouth could have shot themselves in the foot for not defending Paul Merson crosses and almost gifting the Saddlers two (relatively) soft goals, the home side showed courage, conviction and a great deal of character to bounce back to level terms and could so easily have nicked a winner as well!!

Having set up the first goal, Wizard Wade duely scored the second, that after the first half when he delivered some fine crosses in to the box.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Daily Echo, Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying: "About time, about time. He's had a season-and-a-half where he's not done it and we've kept telling him and telling him and telling him and the crowd have been patient with him and really want him to do it".

While on BBCi, Sean rightly points out that: "It's going to be a long, hard season if we keep going 2-0 down before we can get back into games and score two goals at home".

Speaking on BBCi, Paul Merson is quoted as saying:

"We were so comfortable that I took myself off, but it changed the game as they thought they could push forward. We had a lackadaisical five-minute spell where we didn't cope and they scored two goals".

Adding "It's the most gutted I've been for a long time".
