Walsall Reaction

After the away win against Walsall, here is what assistant boss Richard O'Kelly was quoted as saying on BBCi: "It was the proverbial six-pointer. We could have been two or three goals up at half-time, and looking at the body language as Walsall's players walked in, they looked a beaten side. But they gave it a right go in the second half and we had to stand up and be counted, right through the side".

Meanwhile the Walsall boss, Kevan Broadhurst is not giving up the fight for League One football, even though the odds for survival are looking against the West Midland side. Broadhurst was quoted after the match, on BBCi, as saying: "We worked very hard in the first half just to stay in the game, and in the second half we had opportunities - unfortunately, it didn't go our way. But it was a big improvement on what we've produced in the last few games. I was happy with the formation, as if you let Bournemouth have an extra man in midfield, they can play. Even with three against three in there, we struggled to contain them in the first half. But as the game went on, we got stronger and stronger. The players know what the target is now - we just need a bit of luck, which I didn't think we had tonight".
