Walsall Reaction - Cherries

After the 3-0 at the weekend, Steve Fletcher was quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "It was potentially a difficult game. On paper people will say we should win, but as we know, it doesn't work like that. We had to be professional and we approached the game perfectly well like we do any other. We did just that and thoroughly deserved the win. Josh McQuoid was again magnificent, but I don't think he would have got his hat trick unless I'd been on the pitch! He wasn't in the team much until this season, and to come in and do what he has done is fantastic. The hardest part for any striker is when you have had a run of scoring and then they dry up, the hardest thing is to come back and start scoring again, not that scoring goals regularly has ever happened in my career! Seriously though, Josh has done that. I've got one hat trick in twenty years as a pro, and now Josh has two in seven days, so I have a little catching up to do! The most important thing is that it was a team performance. Josh the ball in to the net and deservedly gets all the plaudits, but it was a full team performance to allow him to have the opportunities. What is happening now is credit to everyone at the club, the board, the manager, the players, staff and supporters. Since Eddie became manager and the new board came in, this club has gone in the right direction on and off the pitch, and that is all down to a team effort, not just by the players, but everyone from the chairman to the supporters, and long may it continue".
