Ward To Return?

Portsmouth loanee, Joel Ward, who scored his first League goal against Morecambe on Saturday, has revealed that he'd like to return to Dean Court next season.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Ward is quoted as saying: "It's been a massive learning curve over the whole season. I've played under three different managers and that is tough on you mentally. You've got to keep picking yourself up and trying to win your place in the squad because different managers go for different things. You know you've got to work hard, get your head down and go for your goals. If you've got the mentality and attitude to do it, there should be nothing stopping you. I've had chats with Eddie about coming back and would be happy to do that because I want to get the experience and games under my belt. I've got another year at Portsmouth and, hopefully, I can push on and really show people what I can do. I speak to Paul Hart and the coaching staff on a regular basis to keep them updated on how I'm doing and I know they keep in touch with Bournemouth as well. I will probably start pre-season at Portsmouth and then take it from there. I would love to come back here, get a good run in the side and show people what I can do".
