We're Not Favourites - Howe

Last updated : 08 April 2013 By Bournemouth Co-Ordinator

With the final 3-weeks of the season upon us, AFC Bournemouth are currently sitting in second place, a couple of points short of top spot with a 5-point cushion to the chasing pack, most of whom have games in hand over the Cherries.

Speaking ahead of the midweek matches, manager Eddie Howe was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I still put the other teams as favourites against us because they have games in hand. They are the masters of their destiny and we are still reliant on them. They are in the driving seat and we have got to carry on trying to win". But as anyone will say, it's better to have points in the bag than games in hand.

The key midweek fixtures are:

9/4 Docaster Rovers v Carlisle United
9/4 Franchise FC v Swindon Town
9/4 Sheffield United v Crawley
10/4 Crewe Alexandra v Brentford
