When Are We Playing Brighton?

One guaranteed new ground for most, if not all Cherries fans next season, will be a trip to the Amex to face our south coast neighbors, Brighton & Hove Albion. One significant other, who is also looking forward to the games against Albion is former Seagull Steve Cook, who moved to Dorset in January 2012.

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Cook is quoted as saying: "I can’t wait for the fixtures to come out and I’ll be looking to see when we have Brighton - that’s the first fixture I’ll be looking for. Every game next season is massive and it will be good to come up against those kinds of clubs and players. I watched the play-off games with a lot of interest and I’m sure Tommy (Elphick) did as well. In a way, it was win-win for us because we both want to go back there and show them we can play in the Championship but if they had gone up it would have been nice because we both have friends there. I can’t wait to go back there and I’m sure Tommy can’t either. I’ve played at the Amex a few times and I scored there once as well. It’s an unbelievable stadium. The Brighton fans are very vocal as well so I’m sure when we go there it will be very good and hopefully we can go there and get a win. It would be nice for me to score there as well!".

The new seasons fixtures are released at 9am on June 19th.
