Wiggy Wants More

Rhoys Wiggins, who created two goals and scored the third, wants to add to his tally over the course of the season. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, the Cherries Summer signing from Norwich City is quoted as saying: "We’ve had a tough start to the season and I don’t think too many people expected us to get the results we have. But we’ve got to maintain it and can’t get carried away. We’re the top scorers in the league and, if we can keep clean sheets, it will give us confidence because we know we’re capable of scoring goals. It’s going to be vital to keep it tight at the back. We conceded sloppy goals against Notts County and Huddersfield and have to get that out of our system if we’re going to have a good season. If we defend like we did against Dagenham, we will have a great chance. It was great to get my first goal. My first touch wasn’t the best but, as soon as the ball sat up, I thought I would hit it and see what happened. Fortunately, it went in the bottom corner. Hopefully, I can chip in with a few more this season".
