“It meant a lot to get our first goal against them," he told the Echo. "I was an Arsenal fan as a kid as well, so that made it even more special.
“I’m confident in my ability – I always thought I’d score. It’s great to score against any Premier League side but especially the big ones.
“We’re always disappointed in defeat,” he added. “But there are plenty of positives we can take from the game.
“If we were more clinical in the final third we’d have taken something.
“We’ve got another tough game against Liverpool but we’ll be confident of doing well.”
