Wilson On His Move South

With his move to AFC Bournemouth in the bag, new signing Callum Wilson is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "It is a fantastic set-up here and I want to grab with both hands the chance to play in the Championship. Hopefully, I can play regularly and score goals like I did at Coventry. This is a club on the up and I want to be a part of it. It was hard leaving Coventry because I grew up there and all my family and friends live there. Sometimes you have to let your head rule your heart. Everybody wants to play for their hometown club but my heart will be changing soon because I am here for the long term. I want to prove I am not just a one-season wonder, as people could label me. My career has been hampered by injury so it was good to finally get three-quarters of a season under my belt. It is about progressing as a player and I am looking forward to a full season. I feel I am only going to get better playing with better players and on better pitches. I feel the manager here will progress me and help me kick on with the team to the next level. He will give me a platform and it will be up to me to take it".
