Wrexham Reaction

Scoring his first goal for almost 2 years following a long period out injured, Alan Connell was understandable delighted bagging the winning goal against Wrexham: "It wasn't wonderful viewing, we had to grind out the result, but we're pleased with the three points, I was very pleased to score. It's been difficult as it's been a long time, but I feel I'm back to my best and I can't wait for the rest of the season".

For Wrexham, their keeper Andy Dibble reckons that our new stadium is becoming a jinx venue for them saying that "It's been a bad hunting ground for us, for the last four years we've come here and lost every time, we've failed to score on each occasion, I don't know what it is but sometimes these things happen". Shame!! (ed)
