Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Brett Pitman, is quoted as saying: "We did well and it was lovely to get the win. In the last two games away from home we haven't got what we deserved, but against Wycombe we got our rewards. It was nice to have Fletch back and it took a little of the pressure of me in the air. Instead of just trying to win it, I was reading his flick on's and it was great to have him up there. He is a real presence up front andas everyone could see, he gave the whole place a real life. We were disappointed to go a goal behind and David held his hands up for the goal, but I thought his reaction was brilliant and he never put his head down. As a team, to get on level terms and then in front was a massive bonus for us. I was pleased with the free kick. I was always going to shoot and it was nice to see it fly in".

On Pitman's performance, manager Eddie Howe was quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I think he's a talent and I rate him very highly. He's got the ability but, first things first, he's got to play like that week in, week out for Bournemouth and then he can start thinking about other things".
