Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo Matt Ritchie is quoted as saying about the impact Kermorgant has had on the squad: "Yann is a pleasure to play alongside and, personally, I love it when he is in the team. He is great with his feet, he is intelligent and he scores goals. I am not the quickest and he gives me a licence to go inside and play off the front of him. He sets you up for shots and is very clever. He has given us a different dimension and I have enjoyed playing with him. He has linked superbly with Lewis Grabban and has a made a big difference since he has come in. I wouldn’t call him a target man because there is a lot more to his game and that doesn’t do him justice. He is unbelievably skilful with his feet and a real threat".
