Manager Kevin Bond is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I'm sick because the lads deserved to get something from the game and didn't. It's absolutely no consolation to me going home thinking we did okay, because we got nothing from the game. I'm destroyed by it, absolutely gutted, but that's the way it is".

On the decision by the ref to rule out a late strike by Vokes, Bond went on to say: "I've seen it again. The referee said to me after the game he clearly put an arm out to it, and he's so wrong it's scary".

And on the match in general: "We've done what we've done before, we've given somebody a two-goal start. The second goal was appalling. It was a lack of somebody going with the runner, then not dealing with a normal ball into the box. We gave ourselves what turned out to be too much to do".
