Yeovil Town Reaction - Cherries I

Manager Eddie Howe was naturally pleased with the outcome against Yeovil Town, being quoted on BBC Radio Solent as saying: "We were excellent in the first half today. But again we didn't score, and you come in at 0-0 and you wonder how we haven't scored a few goals and potentially more. We had numerous chances and their goalkeeper made some great saves in the first half, but we defended very well which was very pleasing and gave us a platform to win the game. I felt if we created the same number of chances that we did in the first half we would win the game. If you keep asking questions you will get the right answers. We kept putting balls in the box and kept asking questions of their defenders, and eventually one falls to Matt (Ritchie) on his left foot and you wouldn't want it to fall to anyone else".

On Ritchie's performance, Howe went on to say: "All career he's scored goals and hopefully that doesn't stop. I don't think he has had his best game today, by his very high standards, but he's scored another two goals and that's the type of player he is. He's a difficult man to mark because he plays wide, it's not like he is a central player and you can stick something on him. He has a big say in games all the time with his left-foot, and the intelligence to get in goalscoring positions and long may that continue".
