Manager Eddie Howe was quoted on BBC Radio Solent as saying on the 1-1 draw: "Both teams gave everything today and it was always going to be that way with both desperate for three points rather than the one. I just felt we were short of our normal energy levels today and we just looked a little big fatigued and a little bit tired. In the recent games, we have given so much so it was only natural we were going to feel that way. Saying that, I felt we had the best chances in the game and we are frustrated we haven’t won. But the lads showed good character to come from a goal down. It was a fortuitous goal but I felt we created the best chances. We had numerous chances in the first half and second. We got ourselves in some great positions but didn’t quite make the most of them and didn’t work our goalkeeper enough on the day. All in all, the lads have given everything today. They’re absolutely shattered in the dressing room physically and that’s a sign that good times are ahead with the character and the attitude".
