Manager Steve Thompson was quoted in the Western Daily Press as saying: "We would have liked to have played a better second half but we have won the game and it is an important three points. The boys are so tired and relieved they took a while to get happy but they were slightly disappointed with the second-half performance. It wasn't easy with 10 men. In the table we have moved up, down, up, down and so it will be nice to move up and up if we win [at Hartlepool]. It won't be easy but everything in the locker has got to come out now to propel us to this win which could put us right up there".
