Youth Boost - Roach Signs New Deal

The successful Youth team coach, Joe Roach, has signed a new 2-year deal at Dean Court, which will keep him at the club until Summer 2009.

Over the past few years, he has seen the likes of Sam Vokes and Brett Pitman make the step up from youth to first team.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Joe is quoted as saying: "I'm delighted I've been given the opportunity to continue my work at the club. With the ongoing financial concerns, things were a bit uncertain at times that there would be a youth system at all. But Jeff (Mostyn) and Steve (Sly) have committed themselves to continue to finance the programme and that is a tremendous boost. It might have been easy for them to decide it was a problem that they didn't need. But they spent time discussing it with me and that meant a lot because I could explain exactly what we do".
