Youth Prepare For Reebok Showdown

The current crop of Cherries youngsters face their biggest challenge of the season as they head north to face Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium in the FA Youth Cup, Third Round.

Cherries Youth coach, Joe Roach is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We’ve tried to play up everything in terms of what we can do and how we can do it. Bolton are a Premier League side and will be playing on their own patch. It’s their first game in the competition so they will probably be worried about us more than we are worried about them. Being away from home takes a bit of weight off our shoulders and the pressure will be on Bolton. This is the biggest game our lads will have encountered to date. Their attitude in the past month has been exemplary. They have remained focused and there is a steely determination about the squad, although nobody is getting blasé. We have prepared them as well as we can. We’ve gained a bit of knowledge about certain areas we can affect and now it’s about trying to do the best we can on the day. They have come into football to prepare themselves for this type of game and have worked hard to earn this experience".
