Aug 14 AFC Bournemouth 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers Att: 4771

For long periods last night it looked as if we were still in the Second Division, and playing poorly, rather than being in the Third Division and (ideally) doing well. It looked as if we were going to remain in this League for more than just this season.

The vast majority of the match was played in half of the pitch either side of the half way line, rarely did the ball stray in to either penalty area, and when it did, the opportunity was wasted - as they were throughout the evening.

When we did play football, it was neat, crisp and something Kidderminster Harriers could not cope with, but these bursts of 'pure' football didn't last too long before their big players nudged our players off the ball, or just got three players around our man, and with no support, the move broke down to nothing.

The best moments of the game can be encapsulated when:
1. The referree fell over!!
2. The Harriers 'keeper made two fantastic finger tip saves - one at full stretch and the other a great reflex effort to deny Bournemouth what would have been certain goals.
3. For Kidderminster, their best effort came in the 90th minute of time when their sole man up front tried to curl the ball around Tardiff and inside the post, only to see the ball curl past the post too - much to the relief to the home support.

Can it get better?? IT HAS GOT TO IF WE ARE GOING TO GET PROMOTED. All the mistakes and uncertainties from last season were all too apparent to see this evening. Thankfully playing Third Division teams they are not so quick as those we faced last season in the Second Division - otherwise we'd have been beaten by Boston and Kidderminster.

My man of the match this evening is Shaun Maher for covering everything that thrown at him.
