What can be said without swearing about this match and performance? Not much from a Bournemouth point of view!

The first 10 minutes were as good as it got for the Cherries as they tried to press home advantage, and could have taken the lead only to see the ball beaten away. After that the game melted away and was practically handed to the Saddlers.

The first Walsall goal came in the quarter hour when Feeney was adjudged to have handled inside the area, allowing Jarvis to convert the penalty. Then 10 minutes after the restart a corner floated in from the Cherries right hand side was met by Jarvis who headed past a flapping Flahavan.

The Cherries tried to push forward, but it was pretty hapless and made bad viewing. A few half decent individual performances, but none of it linked up to show any cohesion, or any team play.

It's going to be a long season ...........

The result leaves the Cherries in the bottom-4.
