It was all so predictable for the Cherries this afternoon at Whaddon Road! The visitors from Dean Court had more possession and far more of the chances, but failed to take them in this key relegation 6-pointer.

As with so many other games this season, defensive lapses right at the end of the game cost the Cherries dear as Bird claimed a last gasp winner for our hosts in the 92nd minute of time! This after Bradbury and Pitman wasted a host of chances to put the Cherries in command of the game right at the start of the first half.

A full match report to come ........ but regardless of how you dress up this performance, and others like it this season, we WILL be in League Two next season unless there is a drastic improvement in the coming weeks.

Next for the Cherries is a home match against Southend United next on January 19th.

AFCB: Stewart, Young, Gowling, Perrett, Cummings, Tessem, Bradbury, Cooper, Hollands, Kuffour, Pitman
