March 15 Notts County 2-2 AFC Bournemouth Att: 6120

Last updated : 15 March 2010 By Exiles Reporter

A bright start for the Cherries, which saw them squander a few golden chances in the opening few minutes, most notably from Connell who really should have done better from close range.

So it was tough on the Cherries who fell behind after Wiggins conceeded a penalty in the 22nd minute, which Lee Hughes duely tucked away after Jalal saved the initial (poor) effort.

Early in the second period, a foul on Connell, led to a free kick on the edge of the area. A slight deflection took the ball past Schmeichel in the County goal for the equaliser. Sadly, County went up the other end a few minutes later for Hughes to ghost in past Bradbury to restore the home sides advantage.

With time running out, substitute Goulding neatly connected with the ball to level matters in the 93rd minute of time to claim a well deserved point for the Cherries and a delighted travelling support.

The result keeps the Cherries in 2nd places, with County slipping in to the automatic promotion places.
