It was a case of was this going to be our day in the early stages of the game as Brett Pitman missed a 6th minute penalty, which was quickly followed by an Alan Connell effort that was cleared off the line! The omens didn't look too good when Shaun Brisley netted, against the run of play, from a free kick.

Parity was restored on the stroke of half time when Pitman levelled matters in first half stoppage time with a rasping effort from the edge of the penalty area.

Pitman completed a brace of strikes as he headed home from inside the penalty area in the 78th minute.

One sour note, Lee Bradbury was booked for the 5th time this season, which will mean an automatic 1-match suspension.

The result, together with Dagenham & Redbridge loosing at home to Rochdale, means that the Cherries resume their place at the top of League Two with an all important home match against Dagenham & Redbridge to come on Tuesday.
