In a game of few chances, it should be no surprise that both clubs settled for a 0-0 draw in the baking sun of early October.

The better chances were saved for the second period when Wes Thomas somehow managed to (1) head the ball straight at the keeper when it might have been easier to head it past him, and (2) couldn't quite get on the end of a drilled cross from Marc Pugh.

At the other end, the Cherries were thanking Stephen Purches and Sean Cooper for goal line clearances.

Both keepers are still waiting for a meaningful save to make .......

With a couple of sides winning else where, the Cherries slip to just above the drop-zone with the distraction of JPT action midweek against Yeovil Town, followed by a 6-pointer against Rochdale at Dean Court next Saturday.

Full match report to come ............
