Sept 29 AFC Bournemouth 1-3 Carlisle United Att: 4940

In a half when the home side looked disjointed and a group of strangers, Telfer managed to give the ball away, allowing Garner a gift of a goal in the 27th minute. Matters were not improved in the 39th minute when Begovic dropped the ball allowing Garner the simplest of tap ins.

Bond must have gone mad during the half time break as the Cherries came out looking more determined after the re-satrt. Reward came when Kuffour fired home in the 54th minute following a ping-pong match in front of the North Stand.

A comeback was snuffed out as a statuesque defence allowed Anyinsah to fire home in the 66th minute after Telfer lost possession in a key position.

I cannot possibly use the language on this web site to adequately sum up the performance, so let your imagination run wild!

The result leaves the Cherries rooted to the bottom of the table with a home match on Tuesday to come against south coast neighbours Brighton & Hove Albion.
