At last! The Cherries have recorded their first win of the new season - like last season in the JP Trophy.

The Cherries dominated proceedings throughout with a team picked by Joe Roach.

Bournemouth took the lead in the 38th minute following a corner from Warren Cummings which found new signing Jeff Goulding in the box to head home to give the Cherries a deserved lead.

HT: 1-0

The Cherries domination continued in to the second half.

Further reward came in the 67th minute when McQuoid crossed for Igoe to slot the ball home from 12 yards.

A poor back pass allowed Danny Hollands to pounce to slot home in the 76th minute.

Further chances came and went for the Cherries with out taking advantage. Bristol Rovers failed to take chances when presented.
